KM is recognized as the first company in Korea to have successfully developed and mass produced rotor blades for wind turbine generators. After its inception - as AdcomTech Co. Ltd. in April 2000 and subsequently changing its name to KM Co. Ltd. in 2008 - KM has steadily been involved in providing cutting edge composite product and technology. Since 2002 we started developing rotor blades for wind turbine generators with aim of mass production to supply domestically and abroad. We kept with times by developing bigger sized models from 2002 onward – 24 meter for 750 kW rated wind turbine in 2002, 42 meter for 2 MW rated wind turbine in 2004 and 44 meter for 3 MW rated wind turbine in 2006. Ever since 2004, rotor blades we successfully developed have been supplied for prototyping tests and for commercial operations. Most recently, we are working towards mass producing rotor blades which are 68 meter long for 5.5 MW rated wind turbine and 83.5 meter for 7 MW rated wind turbine. Such forward thinking approach has been the core principle of the management team at KM. With its R & D as the innovation driver, we strive to develop new and exciting products that can be commercialized and we continue with the effort in developing composites components that can replace the traditional parts (such as metal based) used in matured industries.
