KMA Remarketing® Corporation is a world leader in the purchase, sale, service, appraisal, and liquidation of pre-owned medical equipment. We purchase and consign used medical equipment from medical facilities all over the United States. It is shipped back to our facilities in DuBois, PA where most equipment is refurbished and repaired in our biomedical engineering department, then is resold to other medical facilities in the US and all over the world. We sell a great deal of equipment to third world countries such as Mexico and the Phillippines. "Older" American technology is life saving state-of-the-art technology to them. Equipment that might have been thrown in landfills is being reused all over the world. By purchasing used equipment, hospitals, surgery centers, and physicians' offices are able to save huge amounts of money under the cost of purchasing new equipment. In difficult economic times, the ability to purchase equipment at an average of 50% of the cost of new equipment is extending the bottom line of hospitals' budgets. Our biomedical engineering department is capable of completely refurbishing any type of medical equipment. There is a sandblast booth, paint booth, upholstery shop, and electrical safety testing shop to make the equipment look and perform like brand new equipment. Our biomedical engineers specialize in the de-installation of entire radiology rooms, OR lights, and sterilizers in a fashion that allows the equipment to be resold and installed in a different facility. Most equipment is resold with warranties. We have an appraisal department with employees who are Accredited Members of the International Society of Appraisers. Our reports are prepared according to USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices) standards and will stand up to legal scrutiny. We also liquidate entire hospital facilities. To date, we have auctioned and liquidated 15 bankrupt hospitals all over the United States.
