Dr. Ennis’ areas of expertise include leadership, personality, and team building. She holds a MBTI certification from the Myers-Briggs Corporation. She is a certified trainer and consultant of The Maxwell DISC Method. Dr. Ennis holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. She is an outcomes-driven facilitator. She has presented for various organizations including K-12 educators and higher education educators in Alabama and Florida. She frequently speaks as an annual presenter of the Alabama Community College System Diversity Conference and the Alabama Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers presenter. She has spoken to the City of Jasper Police Department, Books A Million in Florence, AL, Dothan Pediatrics Physicians Office, Society for Human Resource Management, Professional Women’s Organization of Muscle Shoals, AL, Civic Clubs, Leadership of Walker County, Thrive Walker County, and different student organizations. Dr. Ennis served as the president of Bevill State Community College until October 1, 2020. She had served in this role since March 2017. She is a highly accomplished college administrator with extensive experience in all aspects of collegiate-level operations. Prior to serving as president, she held the administrative role of Executive Vice-President, and Dean of Students at Bevill State Community College from 2009 until 2016. She enjoyed a 35-year career in higher education at Bevill State Community College serving in various roles within the institution. Dr. Ennis has served as a facilitator for the Leadership Walker County (LWC) Program since 2000. The LWC program is to develop leadership skills of emerging leaders for the purpose of guiding the future growth of Walker County Alabama and improving the County’s quality of life.
