Olten is a literary treasure trove with the world's highest density of poets: Peter Bichsel, Alex Capus, Urs Faes, Franz Hohler, Ulrich Knellwolf, Rolf Lappert, Pedro Lenz, Silja Walter or Otto F. Walter are or were closely associated with the town. In 2005, Thomas Knapp told himself that a place like this is a perfect venue for publishing books. The former bookseller founded his own publishing house. he focus of the program is on Swiss literature and the promotion of lesser-known authors: Alexandra von Arx, Désirée Scheidegger, Markus Kirchhofer, Elie Peter and Rebekka Salm, among others, who received a lot of attention in 2022 with her debut novel "Die Dinge beim Namen. Passed writers such as Capus, Hohler and Lenz also entrust texts to the publisher.
