We’re Koan, now proudly based in Chepstow. Since 2004, we’ve grown from a small idea into a friendly, multidisciplinary team who love collaborating, experimenting, and building things that make a real difference. What started as a journey in e-commerce has developed into a wider mission: creating digital products and online experiences that people genuinely enjoy using. Over the past two decades, we’ve built and continue to operate successful e-commerce stores, including Bath & Unwind, where customers can discover the very best in beauty and wellbeing. Stocking much-loved names like Caudalie, Nuxe, Omorovicza, Neom, This Works, Kevin Murphy, Aromatherapy Associates and Stanley. Bath & Unwind has always been about more than just products - it’s about expert advice, thoughtful service and a touch of everyday indulgence. Alongside this, we also run Man Made Store and a collection of 11 extra single-site D2C beauty websites, and have expanded our portfolio by acquiring Clifton Skin & Beauty Salon, bringing our expertise in digital retail into the world of in-person beauty experiences. Our team is made up of people from all backgrounds, united by curiosity, creativity and care for the work we do.
