About Kockumation

Kockumation AB is the owner of Kockum Sonics AB, Polarmarine, and Texon. The company was established more than 30 years ago and was formed by acquiring the departments for ship stability, signaling and level gauging from Kockums Shipyard. Most of the staff remained and the company gained a huge competitive advantage owing to the knowledge and experience retained. Combined with a sense of astute commercial management, the company’s philosophy for continual development has strengthened the position in all relevant market sectors. In 2007 Kockum Sonics two new companies. The well known tank cleaning machine manufacturer Polarmarine as well as Texon AB. The latter was Kockum Shipyard’s boiler automation department. The three companies were sorted under one parent company called Kockumation AB. In 2014 Kockumation made another strategic move as the Danish loading computer manufacturer Marine Alignment A/S was acquired. In the beginning of 2016 the full intellectual property of another well-known Danish loading computer program LOADSTAR was acquired. Apart from the marine business Kockumation supplies signaling equipment for rolling stock, civil defense warning system and acoustic cleaning for power plants.
