Sijaitsemme mainiolla paikalla keskuskaupungin, 6-tien ja lentoaseman läheisyydessä. Hyvät lähipalvelut ovat etumme. Meillä on monipuoliset liikuntamahdollisuudet. Kontiolahti on maailmalla tunnettu ampumahiihtokisoista, ja stadionin ympäristö tarjoaakin loistavat puitteet liikkumiselle. Jäähdytetyllä ladulla hiihtokausi on tavanomaista pidempi ja ladut sopivat eritasoisille hiihtäjille. Lisäksi Kontionpolut-reitistö tuo iloa niin polkujuoksijoille, kävelijöille kuin maastopyöräilijöillekin. ************************** Kontiolahti is a youthful municipality in North Karelia. We differ from the other municipalities of Eastern Finland in that we have the most children in proportion to population and our population is more educated and well-to-do than on average. The mean age here is 39 years, which is clearly less than the state average. We have close to 15,000 inhabitants. We are conveniently located close to the city of Joensuu, highway 6 and the airport. We also have good local services. We have diverse opportunities for sport activities. Kontiolahti is world-renowned for its biathlon competitions and the stadium area provides excellent facilities for sports. The artificially cooled skiing path makes for a longer season of skiing than usual and the paths are suitable for different levels of skiers. In addition to this, the Kontiopolut-trails are ideal for trail runners, walkers as well as mountain bikers.
