In 1981, the Korean Heritage Foundation (KHF) began as a humble initiative to showcase 5,000 years of Korean art in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution. Over the years, our mission has grown, and in 1985, we transitioned to The Korea Foundation, further expanding our reach and impact. By 2003, we proudly adopted our current name, reflecting our unwavering commitment to Korean heritage. For over three decades, KHF has been a beacon of Korean culture in the US. Our partnership with various institutions has allowed us to co-host and support numerous cultural events. But our vision extends beyond art. We delve into Korean studies, US-Korea relations, and the history of Korean-Americans, ensuring a holistic representation of our rich heritage. In today's global landscape, fostering understanding between diverse cultures is paramount. At KHF, we're dedicated to deepening the world's appreciation of Korean culture, art, and philosophy.
