Kevin F. Kostyn is a commercial litigator with more than 30 years experience handling trials, appeals, depositions, and motion practice in the federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey, and before the American Arbitration Association. Formerly a partner in a 250 lawyer Manhattan based law firm, he has represented a wide variety of business clients from individuals to national and international corporations, in complex matters involving white collar investigations and prosecutions, contested commercial foreclosures, fraud and business torts, attorney malpractice, employment disputes, and trust and estate litigation. Additionally, Mr. Kostyn has extensive experience litigating disputes involving all types of commercial contracts including stock option agreements, social media and internet licenses, joint venture agreements, construction contracts, and confidentiality agreements. Working in both the private and public sector, she has litigated and prosecuted countless cases in the state and federal courts of New York. Between 2002 and 2008, she served as Special Counsel to the Public Integrity Unit of the Office and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Enforcement Section of the Charities Bureau. More recently, she prosecuted civil and criminal health care fraud cases with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Attorney General’s Office, leading complex investigations with teams of lawyers, forensic accountants and investigators. After years of prosecuting white-collar and health care fraud in the New York Office of the Attorney General, Ms. Blinken returned to private practice to co-found Kostyn Blinken.
