About KPM - Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin
For more than 250 years now, KPM Berlin has been known for design “Handmade in Berlin”. The buzzing metropolis has been the home of the manufactory ever since it was founded. About 200 manufacturers work right in the heart of the capital city to create timeless designs with the highest quality standards. Only those who really know their trade can create great masterpieces of lasting value. It takes 29 work steps across 14 working days by 25 manufacturers to produce one white porcelain cup that meets the high standards of KPM Berlin. Every object is hand-selected after passing through ten quality inspections. Since 2006, the banker Jörg Woltmann has been the owner of KPM Berlin. Under the creative direction of managing director Martina Hacker and chief designer Thomas Wenzel, porcelain pieces with a clear and functional design are created. They are distributed through our 13 stores, the KPM online shop and our network of selected national and international trade partners.
