About Księgarnia Artystyczna Bookoff

Bookoff was established in 2008 as an internet bookshop specializing in art, photography, design and architecture. The aim was and still is to sell rare art books, which are frequently absent eslewhere on the Polish market. Publications currently out of print and collector's editions, which are not available at the bookstor at the moment may be ordered and delivered upon individual request. The range of choice includes current offer of the most interesting publishers, both Polish and foreign such as Phaidon, Gestalten Verlag, Thames and Hudson, Laurence King Publishing, Steidl, Aperture, Prestel, Random House or MIT Press. Bookoff is divided into three bookstors, each specializing in different subject. Photographic bookshop deals with fashion albums, culinary bookshop, apart from cookbooks, has a wide choice of children's books and artistic bookshop offers titles on architecture, graphic design, multimedia, fine arts, performance, history of art and art theory. For the past three years Bookoff has been organizing a competition in which a photographic book of the year is being selected. Bookoff has been cooperating with Łódź Festival of Design since 2009 and three year ago it initiated a collaboration with Warsaw Culinary Book Fair. It takes an active part in cultural initiatives by participating in events such as Gdynia Design Days or projects organized by Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. For the past two years Bookoff has been organizing Warsaw Art Book Fair.
