About KWANPEN
KWANPEN was founded in 1938 in Singapore by Master Craftsman Mr. Kwan Pen Seng, who designed and crafted handbags mainly for British aristocrats in Singapore. He then imparted his business and his craftsmanship skills to his sons. In 1976, his eldest son, Mr Leonard Kwan decided to become a retailer and opened the first KWANPEN boutique in Singapore on Orchard Road, selling crocodile leather bags under the name Ginza. Ginza became KWANPEN a few years later to carry on the legacy of its founder. Now led by Leonard Kwan, the company’s current President, KWANPEN has grown into an international luxury brand specialising in crocodile leather handbags and accessories. All creations are, to this day, designed and skilfully made by our team of in-house designers and craftsmen in Singapore. The collections pay homage to the brand’s heritage of superior craftsmanship; creating timeless and luxurious handbags and accessories. The brand’s presence has expanded from its Singaporean roots to span across Europe and the rest of Greater Asia with boutiques in London, Dubai, Riyadh, Doha, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Macao, Bangkok, Seoul, and Tokyo.
