Kwanza is a premium factual-specialist, distributing and producing high-profile documentaries globally. For almost 20 years, we have been working with the most prominent broadcasters from around the globe (including ZDF, ARD, BBC, Discovery, Nat Geo, PBS, CCTV, France Televisions, Canal+ , Arte, Curiosity Stream, Netflix…). Through our collection of nearly 700 hours of acclaimed documentaries in HD and 4K, we offer a wide range of genres from travel, discovery, history, nature and wildlife, to science, green and current affairs. Working with seasoned filmmakers - such as Oscar-nominated director Eric Valli - our films have fabulous pictures, effective storytelling, strong characters, a universal appeal and regularly win major festival awards (our blue-chip film Titans of the Sea recently won the prestigious « Animal Behavior - Long Form » award at Jackson Wild Media Awards 2022). Being at the producer’s side from the very beginning, we place our expertise in funding, international pre-sales and co-production. By sharing our editorial input since the earliest stages of a project or by helping to fill-in financial gaps, our 360-approach helps us get to know each project inside and out: from the initial idea to worldwide distribution, we accompany producers along the whole journey. As a result, around 70 high-end independent producers now trust us with their content, including the Altice Group and their prolific production arm, RMC Production, with whom we are engaged in a multi-year strategic partnership.
