Edgar Wood, as a means for providing insurance to the businesses and residents throughout the state of Delaware. In 1971, Davis Wood took over ownership and laid the foundation for personal service to be at the cornerstone of our success story. In 2005, William Strickland became agency President, solidifying the vision of an agency built on client relationships and immersed in community partnerships. Decades of dedication to our mission have resulted in growth and expansion in both our services and reach. L&W Insurance now operates as one of Delaware’s largest independent agencies, stretching our service area beyond Delaware, into the neighboring states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey as well as throughout much of the mid-Atlantic. We contract with regional, national and specialty lines insurance carriers to garner a broad base of options to meet the risk management needs of our clients.
