L2R Dance is a not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne’s West dedicated to providing free dance programs, performances, arts leadership opportunities and employment pathways for children and young people who are traditionally underrepresented or absent from mainstream arts and culture. L2R moves physically, socially and culturally. Fostering belonging, wellbeing and cultural leadership, L2R nurtures creativity and transforms young people through the power of dance. OUR VISION A more inclusive world where people’s lives are enriched through access to the arts. OUR PURPOSE Inspire positive vibes through one language, Dance! We welcome children aged 6-11, young people 12-25 and their families through our 7 free dance programs across Melbournes west. They come from all over the world and have unique journeys. We collaborate, create and develop. We employ young emerging and professional cultural and arts leaders who are extremely dedicated to their dance practice and committed to engaging valuable community arts practice while being exceptionally good humans. L2R reflects contemporary Australia, educating, developing and employing young people and artists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and celebrating their contribution to our cultural lives. L2R’s participants gather to move, develop, perform and socialise. They move in spaces and places where young people who often find themselves on the margins, are culturally safe to express themselves. Through L2R's fee for service you can support change by booking L2R at your next event! Our vibrant crew of professional and emerging artists use dance to spread good vibes, while providing a platform for diverse artists to be represented in the commercial sector. 100% profit go back into our unique charity to create a more inclusive world where people's lives are enriched through access to the arts.
