About La Cocumella
GHC is the oldest hotel on the Sorrento Peninsula, it is hospitality since 1777. Monastery founded in 1536 as the residence of the Jesuit Fathers, today, it's a 5-star hotel member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Historical Residences of Italy. Famous travellers, from Goethe to Mary Shelley to Hans Christian Andersen to Sigmund Freud, over the centuries have chosen 'La Cocumella' as a stopover on their Grand Tour of Italy. Today it is a luxury destination that combines the pleasure of discovering unique destinations in the world with the emotions of staying on "an island in the peninsula": walking in the garden, among citrus trees and luxuriant plants; enjoying the sea and the sun on the beach or on the solarium by the sea, sailing on our ship Vera 1880, dedicating yourself to wellness among the SPA, swimming pool, gym and tennis court. To finish with a sunset aperitif on the terrace overlooking the sea and then to dinner the specialities of the chefs in one of the restaurants.
