About la-di-da
Architecture office la-di-da (The Hague) is run by Laura van Santen and Diederik de Koning. They specialize in designing affordable wooden houses that are both economical and ecological, offering a larger group of people the possibility to build their own house using biobased materials. Laura and Diederik both bring in their own expertise based on ongoing research projects. Laura has been visiting workshops in the Netherlands (e.g. MAKE Eindhoven, EKWC, Textiellab), doing material experiments that bridge the gap between product and architecture. Diederik is continuing his PhD research at Delft University of Technology into the architecture of the farm in the Netherlands from 2000 BC to 2000 AD, with a particular interest in the history of wooden construction techniques.
