About La Femme Roje
La Femme Roje was founded by Persian-Canadian designer Rojan Hooshyar in 2013 with a vision of blending Persian art and traditions with modern, sustainable fashion. What began in her small room with a pack of color pencils has grown into a Canadian vegan brand — international in reach, yet forever Persian at heart. Each piece is inspired by Persian tales and culture, designed in Vancouver, and brought to life by artisans around the world who craft every item with care and soul. The mission is simple: to encourage mindful fashion choices through timeless clothing you can wear every day, and bold accessories that elevate the simplest outfits while helping you buy less and play more with your style. Rojan’s love for fashion started in childhood, when she would paint on her mom’s heels with a white-out pen. After earning her Master’s degree in Management in Tehran and studying shoe and bag design in Italy, she set out to combine her Persian roots with modern, sustainable design. Her work has since been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Lucy’s, and global fashion shows, with showrooms in both Tehran and Vancouver. “My biggest goal,” she says, “is to show the world that Middle Eastern women are empowered, stylish, and inspiring — and to share the joy of Persian culture through fashion.”
