About La Liga Pequena
Our mission is to provide a physical and creative outlet through the game of baseball for underprivileged and at-risk youth around the world. In 2015, we began operations in Colombia setting up baseball camps in Medellín and Amalfi, Colombia. Focusing on neighborhoods with rough histories and a lack of opportunities, we successfully introduced the game and began training players and coaches. Baseball is a game that create good habits and teach lessons that translate to real life, such as discipline, team-work, accountability... etc. Through generous private donations and our own funding, we were able to provide this experience FREE of cost for all camp participants. Now we are moving forward to become a 501(c)3 non-profit organization to expand the impact we can make. Our ultimate dream is to establish fully funded youth baseball leagues around South America and beyond, with our operations based in Colombia.. All kids deserve the chance to play ball, regardless of economic status or where they live, and we plan on providing that. Let's play ball.
