Die Patrouille des Glaciers - PDG, ist ein Internationaler militärischer Skialpinismus-Wettkampf der Schweizer Armee, der alle zwei Jahre durchgeführt wird und an dem auch zivile Patrouillen teilnehmen. Die Wettkampfstrecken führen von Zermatt nach Verbier (Parcours Z / lang), respektive von Arolla nach Verbier (Parcours A / kurz) und ist in einem Durchgang als Dreierpatrouille zu absolvieren. Dieser einzigartige Wettkampf besticht durch die Länge des Parcours, die Anforderungen an das hochalpine Gelände, die Höhenlage und durch das Längsprofil der Strecke.
