About Lak Locums

LAK Locums is based in Leeds and has nationwide coverage. Our core business is working with both Doctors and GPs placing them into suitable work with the NHS or PCT’s. The locums could be weekend, ad hoc shifts or covering a vacant post which could be for a year or even longer. More recently LAK Locums have been invited to work with different NHS models creating new opportunities for our staff. Our team work with PWC (Staff Flow) and various Managed Services and we also support some of the larger Agencies with their master vends. We are able to offer our Doctors and GPs the opportunity to work in a wider range of Trusts whilst still remaining an independent Agency. This is reassuring for both the Trust and Doctors, as both know exactly for whom they are working. The NHS is constantly changing and we need to be flexible in our approach to meet the needs of the Trusts. This means working with different models, educating our Doctors in to how this will work and explaining to them the importance of providing a value for money NHS service. LAK Locums are working in partnership with Healthier Business to provide fully compliant doctors. We follow all the NHS guidance notes to ensure we can provide quality assurance that is very important to the Trusts needs. LAK Locums are now able to offer you a revalidation service. As you are aware the GMC have introduced a Revalidation process in 2013. This can be quite confusing if you are a full time locum as to who you should connect with? Will it be the Agency or will it be with the Trust? Who is the designated body and what if they are not on the list? LAK Locums can offer a solution as we are working with a company called Medical Support Union (MEDSU). MEDSU are able to offer our Doctors and GPs a Revalidation service.
