Lakland bass guitars have been built in Chicago, IL since 1994. The Lakland Skyline Series is produced overseas and finished in the U.S.A. It began offering high quality, custom built electric bass guitars with a familiar, smooth feel. The Lakland U.S. line is hand made in the U.S.A. In 2002, Lakland introduced the Skyline Series. These guitars are based on Lakland’s U.S. guitar designs and produced over seas. The instruments are then shipped to the Lakland factory in Chicago, IL where U.S. made electronics are added and the guitars are finished and set up along side their U.S. built counterparts. Lakland bass guitars are used world wide by many famous artists. The brand continues to expand it's instrument line and increase it's visibility within the music industry.
