Lama Mobility specializes in docked, roundtrip rentals of electric kick scooters and bicycles for hotels, cruise ship ports, and more, providing a customized solution that includes our Lama scooters, cellphone app, and charging rack. Our program resolves the problem of abandoned scooters’ littering sidewalks, parks, and other public spaces while keeping scooters charged. Riders utilize our cell phone app to rent the scooters and are charged by the hour for use. Our scooter’s integrated locking system enables the rider to secure the scooters to the Lama Mobility charging rack, public bike racks, etc. Providing peace of mind for riders to pause, enjoy a meal, shop, view attractions, etc., without concern for their scooter being scooped up by another person. Traditional dockless rideshare programs operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not provide the rider the ability to pause the ride or reserve the scooter for when they are not riding. Guests at hotels, cruise ship passengers, and marina patrons that traditionally look to explore their surroundings, often pausing throughout the day to stop for a meal, go shopping, sightseeing, view an attraction, etc. need the ability to ensure that transportation will be there when they are ready to use it and not be subject to someone else taking the scooter wherever they pause to enjoy their surroundings. Lama Mobility provides this while organizing scooters instead of cluttering up sidewalks of cities with abandoned scooters. Lama Mobility’s system is fully autonomous and does not require an assisted sale or additional personnel on the part of the provider. For the rider, it’s as easy as downloading the app, inputting basic information, and a scan of the QR code on the scooter to start their riding experience.
