As an international AI center of excellence, the Lamarr Institute for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence focuses on value-based research, on development of powerful, and at the same time trustworthy as well as resource-efficient artificial intelligence. Our goal is to establish internationally competitive research that sustainably strengthens Germany and Europe as a leading location for research, teaching and technology transfer in AI. The Lamarr Institute is supported by the Technical University of Dortmund, the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, and the Fraunhofer Institutes for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS in Sankt Augustin and for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund.
