About Lamps of Light Project

Lamps of Light Project is a nonprofit organization established to empower individuals, families, and communities to confront the challenges of chemical and behavioral addictions via education, treatment and other resources. While our services are available to the general population, we do have a particular specialization in the Muslim community due to the pressing need. Our approach is centering individuals who have battled the darkness of trauma, neglect and addiction—then recovered—to be ‘lamps of lights’ to others in need of guidance and support. Our mission is to provide, compassionate, comprehensive, and customize care to those who struggle with different levels of addiction. At the same time, we strive to eradicate the stigma associated with addiction so the greater ummah can witness the nobility of every human being and contribute to the positive transformation of those in recovery. We aim to accomplish these goals by educating communities, creating preventative literature and services, and providing addiction treatment resources in the form of personal coaching, therapeutic group sessions, and detox facilities.
