About Land Drainage Consultancy
Land Drainage Consultancy was founded in 2003. Based in East Yorkshire, we have a team of consultants and surveyors distributed throughout the UK. We work for a wide range of clients throughout the UK and abroad on a large variety of projects. Our consultants have many years of training and experience behind them, and are highly respected in the industry. We pride ourselves in being able to identify land drainage problems and provide practical and economical solutions. A significant part of our work is communicating, liasing and negotiating with landowners, farmers and their agents, often on a day to day basis. We have a specialist dedicated Soil Science department which has undertaken many detailed pre-entry soil and agricultural land classification surveys on major developments. We have investigated and mitigated complex soils and reinstatement issues across the UK and abroad. Often we use our in-house excavation team to help us investigate in more detail existing drainage and soils, and to install remediation drainage features where necessary. We have strong relationships with drainage contractors of all sizes througout the UK who we employ to install larger drainage schemes. We use the very latest in survey technology to enable us to get accurate and highly detailed data back to our dedicated cartography team who work alongside our consultants and surveyors to create highly detailed maps, plans and publications. Our senior consultants are also trained as expert witnesses in their' fields, representing a wide range of clients throughout the UK in court, and act on behalf of the Environment Agency in Agricultural Land Tribunals.
