Land Energy - Sustainable Leader in our Industry - and #NetZero. Our goal is to help our customers switch away from fossil fuels and decrease their carbon footprint in an economically sensible way. We occupy the full breadth of the pellet supply chain from buying raw wood fibre and manufacturing wood pellets all within the UK. As one of the UK’s largest wood pellet manufacturers we can provide multi-year, fixed price fuel supply contracts. Our wood pellets only contain sustainable feedstock, sourced from UK forests, providing a reliable long-term fuel source to our customers. We are an accredited Biomass Suppliers’ List (BSL) source of wood pellets, are FSC®-certified (FSC-C120441) and use FSC®-certified sources of wood fibre either in the form of sawmill co-products and surplus logs. Our confidence in Land Energy Pellets enables us to guarantee a minimum of 4,800 KWh of heat per tonne. The quantity of ash is also set by ENPlus A1 at < 0.7% allowable ash per Kg of pellets burnt. Land Energy Pellets have an average ash content of < 0.2%, therefore generating an industry-wide low of 10kg of ash for every 5 tonnes burnt. Sustainable Leaders within our Industry We take the sustainability of our wood pellets very seriously and question every step of our process. Land Energy has been awarded the only globally recognised Certification Mark for Sustainability for being part of UNESCO’s Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Reserve which is recognised internationally has a world-class environment for people and nature. The raw material that comes into our plant comes from forests within 80 miles of the factory. The forests we use have felling licences and every tree that is felled, is replanted, typically within 12 months. The logs we use are those that are rejected by the sawmill sector, either due to the size or shape of the timber. Logs that are too skinny, large or bent are scooped up by land Energy and put to good use in our production plant.
