About Landsharks
Landsharks is the only clothing and shoe store in the world with shelves lined with empty bottles of Patrón Tequilla and a paper maché Octopus hanging out in the corner. We are known as speciality outdoor store, but please don’t any crazy ideas – we’re not your cookie cutter REI store littered with 100 different (but really the same) waterproof breathable ski jackets. We run things a bit differently ’round here. Sure, you’ll find the best in the outdoor industry: Patagonia, Smartwool, Oakley, Maui Jim, Keen, Chaco, Merrell, Vibram and Ugg, but you’ll also find luxury and fashion (Agave, Splendid, See Thru Soul, EQ & Pure). We break the rules and surprise our customers. Every season we will bring in new men’s, women’s and footwear brands. In the past 5 years we have been the first retailer in Michigan to offer up-and-coming brands like Cushe, Jeremiah, Twist and Zenfari clothing. We shop tirelessly and methodically to make sure the mix of goods in our store is unlike any other shop you’ve entered. We have ONE great unique store with a staff that loves to help and does it well. Sally Troutman started Landsharks in 1989 , and can still be found in the store daily with her son David. The rest of the crew is made up of gifted, happy, energetic Landsharks. We’ve employed three cousins from the Corlett family, and siblings from the Jetter, Soliz, and Zwiep families. If our employees are recruiting relatives to work for us, we know we’re providing a healthy and fun work environment. And one more thing….we like to party!
