About Langmead Associates
Langmead Associates was established as a business consultancy in Bahrain in 2000 and ceased trading in 2012 as a result of the downturn in the economy following the global economic crisis and unfavourable trading conditions in Bahrain. In the 12 years of its existence, the company developed a unique niche in the property cycle, developing a business perspective for information management throughout the cycle as well as developing a portfolio of high quality clients who retained the company for continuity and reliablity of services. A branch office was opened in Dubai in 2005, and the company grew to over 12 employees at its peak. Notable achievements included a quality audit and development of DHL's Middle East Property Portfolio, several office fitouts for Coca-Cola, Design Director roles on Jumeirah Beach Residence Sector IV, the Wafi Hotel in Dubai, Al Shahama Palace in Abu Dhabi and management of more than 150 office fitouts. Property consulting services included preparation of demise plans for well over 2000 properties, including the Bahrain Financial Harbour, Bahrain World Trade Centre, and the British Foreign Office. The company developed a commercial compensation charter for the Bahrain Government, and successfully negotiated compensation to nearly 50 companies who were relocated from the Mina Salman Industrial Area and along the Manama seafront. Information management services included the setup of the Impetro Procurement Management System for Cairncross Martin, implementation of the xD Land Information System for Bahrain Financial Harbour and regional representation for OMTrak, Objective World, MainPac, OfficeSpace and others. Professional support services were provided to some of the best-known of the international consultancies operating in the Middle East, including Cluttons, Scott Wilson, CowiConsult, Arif & Bintoak, Design Consultants Qatar, Cracknell and others. The founding director, Douglas Langmead, is now based in Dubai.
