About Langston Hughes Community, Business & Resource Center
Langston Hughes Community, Business and Resource Center opened on July 3, 2017 in the Langston Hughes Community of Park Heights, Baltimore with the goal of having an accessible library and resources for residents of the Park Heights community. It is run by Youth Educational services (Y.E.S), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization which was founded by George E. Mitchell. The building houses several different businesses and organizations which offer many resources to the community. Including programs for seniors, substance and mental health organizations, childcare services which provide before and after care, a computer lab which is open to the community and one of the largest WiFi facilities in the state. LHRBC is focused on being an accessible, safe haven for all members of the community by changing the culture. The center continues to operate and grow its services for the Park Heights Community and beyond.
