Larkspur & Hawk is the creation of founder and designer Emily Satloff. Along with her professional team of designers, artists, and craftspeople, Emily uses the lost, colored foil technique that was first popularized in the Georgian era in the 18th century. Emily has resurrected this technique to create a unique look that is both historical and modern for Larkspur & Hawk's clientele today. Spanning a beautiful range of hand-painted foil colors, the jewelry is delicately hand-crafted from precious metals and gemstones. Emily's foiling technique provides the collection's trademark 'halo' effect, yielding subtle color variations from every angle. Emily Satloff, founder and designer of the Larkspur & Hawk Collection, has launched this contemporary collection of exquisite fine jewelry based on the celebrated techniques of centuries ago. A noted antique jewelry dealer, she brings her expertise and originality to this modern, curated collection. Emily has created brilliant showcase pieces, one-of-a-kind jewelry items, and pieces for everyday wear, all of which Larkspur & Hawk clients treasure. Born in New York City, and following a graduate degree in the history of decorative arts, Emily began her career as a curator at The New-York Historical Society and then as a curatorial consultant at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Larkspur & Hawk is based in New York City, where Emily oversees the business.
