About LaRoche-Vacquié
We are a certified organic vineyard producing Armagnac, the oldest alcohol recorded to be distilled in the world. Thanks to an exceptional terroir, as well as ideal orientation and climate, this land has been able to produce unique wines appreciated at the table of the kings of France and delicate Armagnacs with rare complexity more recently found at the White House. In 2011, a solar farm was created allowing full sustainability. The soil: it is made of a limestone bank covered with a thin layer of clay and chalky earth. The orientation: the vineyard is entirely situated on a plateau which is slightly orientated to the South. The climate: the ocean influences are tempered thanks to the Landes forest, allowing the sun to shine ideally when the grapes mature.
