About Laser Additive Solutions
Laser Additive Solutions Ltd (LAS) is a precision engineering company using state-of-the-art laser-based equipment to produce cost effective solutions to engineering/production problems encountered by our customers from a wide range of industrial sectors. Our services include: - Laser Welding - Metal Additive Manufacturing (Laser Direct Energy Deposition and Laser Powder Bed Fusion) - Laser Cladding - Laser Hardening LAS was established in Doncaster (South Yorkshire, UK) about 8 years ago and we operate two modern laser processing cells, with each using a KUKA robotic/gantry system and TRUMPF high quality lasers to perform a range of laser-based processes including welding, cladding, hardening, 3D cutting and additive manufacturing using metal powders and wires. We have just recently completed the installation of a TRUMPF TruPrint 3000 Metal 3D Printer, this highly capable piece of equipment has a build volume of 300mm Ø x 400mm height and can build parts from most metals including steels, nickel-based alloys, as well as aluminium and titanium alloys. Our technical staff have between them more than 20 years of hands-on experience of these processes and can bring this expertise to the table to help provide solutions to your problems - 2 of the technical staff here are ex-TWI, so we have experience of research and development work also. We are a small and young company, but this means we can be extremely agile in how we react to your requirements. We are production orientated, in addition to academic/R&D, so can offer the value of our experience in production environments to develop solutions to issues that can arise during customer in-house projects. The company operates a quality management system approved to BS EN ISO 9001.
