LATTE Theater, the La Grange Area Teen Theater Ensemble, is a dynamic theatrical company that serves Chicago and suburban teens. Our intense program features full immersion in learning the business of running a theater and strengthening stagecraft while creating college to near professional performance levels. The teen cast performs full length shows open to the public, family, and friends. LATTE challenges veteran performers while giving a strong primer to those who want to explore theater as a new avenue. LATTE bases its choice of shows on what highlights the strength, chemistry of talent through auditions. Its mission is to encourage teen growth on and off the stage. Fun and focus go hand in hand in a collaborative leadership model that includes: socio-emotional skills, empowerment, techniques for dealing with anxiety, creativity, and critical thinking skills for life. We encourage well rounded, active community participation – all while having a blast making memories. Teen members learn: directing, assistant directing, stage management, script writing, choreography, set design, projects management skills, public relations, and advertising.
