With Consenter, our main product, we design digital consent processes that are legally valid and empirically proven to be transparent and user-friendly. This gives users back control and trust and creates the foundation for digital innovation. For people to make informed decisions about how their data is used, clarity is needed instead of click fatigue. We have been working on this challenge for more than ten years – through research in data protection law, design, and behavioral science, supported by numerous user studies. We understand consent as a process of self-determination: - The Consent Agent not only gives users control but also ensures a positive user experience. It makes clear why data is used and what benefits and risks a consent decision involves. This creates transparency and genuine freedom of choice. - The Consent Banner, which works in tandem with the Consent Agent, helps websites and platforms meet data protection requirements legally and cost-efficiently while enabling innovation. Traditional consent forms are often difficult to understand. This leads to blanket decisions: either granting all consents – full functionality but little control – or rejecting all requests – maximum control but no access to many useful features. With Consenter, users clearly understand the purposes for which their data will be processed, the opportunities and risks involved – and can make well-informed, optimal decisions.
