About Lawrenceville Youth Association - Basketball
Lawrenceville Youth Association Basketball (In partnership with gwinnettcounty parks & recreation), operates a program for both boys and girls. Our home gym is located at Rhodes Jordan Community Center. Home schools include: Winn Holt, Jenkins, Lawrenceville, Simonton, Moore Middle, Jordan Middle and Central Gwinnett High School. We also use gyms within the Central Gwinnett School Cluster depending on player participation. The directions to the gym are below. We offer a Winter season basketball program starting from 5 years old to 18. Sign-ups begin in August with practices starting in November and opening day in early December. The season runs through February and includes an end of season single elimination tournament. We are a non-profit organization and the registration fees are used to cover league operating expenses including: gym rental, insurance, uniforms and game referees. We also rely on volunteers to further the youth association experience. If you are interested in volunteering as a Coach, Team Mom, League Director or Board member please contact us. We are always open to willing and motivated people to join the team. TRAVEL BASKETBALL We also offer a Travel Basketball. Those teams are made up of 5th, 6th and 7th grade levels to compete as part of the highly competitive Gwinnett Basketball League (GBL). These teams are selected through tryouts and are offered to both boys and girls. Your child has to be enrolled in the CENTRAL GWINNETT High School cluster to be eligible to participate.
