About Lawyer Referral & Information Service of The San Diego County Bar Association
The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) is a service sponsored by the San Diego County Bar Association. With over 400 attorneys in 45 areas of law throughout the county, finding an attorney to assist you is only a phone call or click away. Since 1952, the Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) has served the local community in two important ways. First the service helps clients who are often inexperienced with the legal system to determine if the problem is truly of a legal nature and what type of attorney may be best suited to the issue. The counselors are familiar with a variety of local resources and they may refer callers to one of those services. When needed, the client is provided with unbiased referrals to qualified attorneys for all of their legal needs. All of the attorneys who participate in LRIS are pre-qualified through a rigorous process with qualifications reviewed by their peers. All attorneys on the service have malpractice insurance are in good standing with the State Bar of California, and have provided letters of recommendation. This service is certified by the State Bar of California and meets the American Bar Association Standards for Lawyer Referral. LRIS is also a member of the Better Business Bureau.
