About Lazar Tutoring & Test Prep Center
Our owner and director, Christina Lazar, was a teacher in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District for several years before branching out in 2007 to create The Lazar Center. With the goal of helping to individualize instruction for students in a way that wasn't always possible in the classroom setting, Christina began to see remarkable results in her students' achievement, confidence, and organization. Little by little, she grew The Lazar Center to be what it is today: a highly acclaimed, award-winning center that has served thousands of families in the Charlotte area over the last 17 years. Her team consists of highly qualified educators from several unique backgrounds who believe that all children can be successful and achieve greatness. In late 2021, The Lazar Center expanded with a second location in Tega Cay, SC, and in early 2025, opened a third location in Fort Mill, SC.
