Lazycamp was inspired by a road trip from Manchester to the Greek Islands which led to scaled fences and a mistaken pitching on a communal lawn in France. After decades of camping experience all over Europe, Australia, Canada and Coast to Coast USA the founders wanted to simplify the booking process so that spontaneous camping could be accessible for inexperienced and seasoned campers. The freedom of the open road is an exhilarating experience but the extensive preparation and preplanning plus the potential for bad weather can be off-putting.
