A Tradition of Caring For over a century, Le Platon has been a cornerstone of compassionate care in Guernsey, dedicated to providing exceptional comfort and support to our residents. Founded in 1914 by Miss Edith Renouf (MBE), who generously donated her personal wealth to the home, Le Platon was established as a haven for those in need of dedicated and empathetic care. Located in the Clifton area of St Peter Port, our home offers breathtaking views of St Peter Port, its harbour, Castle Cornet, and the nearby islands of Herm and Sark. As the island’s oldest Care Home, we continue to uphold our founding principles, offering a safe and supportive environment for the elderly, regardless of faith. Our recent expansion underscores our commitment to evolving with the needs of our community, now featuring 50 bedrooms, including 37 specialised dementia care beds. This growth ensures that we can deliver the highest level of care to those who need it most. Le Platon operates as a registered Guernsey charity, sustained through generous fundraising and the dedication of our voluntary Board of Directors, who give their time freely. We remain steadfast in our mission to provide unparalleled care and continue to invest in our community, building on a rich tradition of service and support.
