About Lead Up
Lead Up empowers underrepresented students to discover their passion and develop their talents. We nurture ambition and reduce opportunity gaps that persist for minority and low-income students, propelling promising young people towards professions and vocations that match their strengths and interests. Since November of 2015, our staff has been working in Lincoln, NE, to provide academic and extracurricular experiences that give students a taste of “what could be.” Our staff provides tutoring, ACT prep, mentoring, and other traditional college preparation supports, but the uniqueness of the Lead Up approach is in the networks we build through which students can connect to the professional world they hope to join. Lead Up is located in Lincoln, NE, and is partnered with Nebraska Wesleyan University and North Star High School.
