About Leadership Saline County

Our Vision is to build off of Saline County’s past, embrace our present and welcome the possibilities of our future. To improve the lives of every member of our community while focusing on forming relationships and maintaining integrity. Leadership Saline County is a leadership development program that is working to cultivate leadership by energizing and educating existing and emerging leaders in the community. By further developing the leaders in our community, we hope to improve the life of every resident through increased social and economic opportunities making Saline County the best possible place to live and work. Participants in Leadership Saline County have been identified as existing or potential leaders in the community. Participants will be exposed to a unique educational experience centering on the realities, opportunities and problems of Saline County as seen though the varied perspectives of individuals and objective observers. Leadership Saline County is preparing the leaders of Saline County to make a difference in the lives of every Saline County residence through problem recognition, creative problem solving and team work. Applicants can apply for selection in the class by submitting an application form. After all applications are received, the Selection Committee will meet to choose the next class. Applicants are chosen to include a variety of backgrounds, genders and ages to promote diversity within the class. The program kicks off with an orientation in January of each year. The class will meet every other Thursday following the orientation from 1:00 to 5:00 for a total of seven (7) class meetings. The topics for each meeting are varied and include Culture/History, Education, Government, Economic Development, Healthcare/Community and Media. The class session ends with graduation scheduled in April. Tuition: $125
