About Learn to Earn

Learn to Earn is a skills training and job creation not for profit based in Khayelitsha and Hermanus, working with unemployed people from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. With our motto of ‘a hand up - not a hand out’ we seek to develop people especially unemployed people, socially, economically, emotionally and spiritually. Through providing a programme that recognises human dignity and the right to live a meaningful life, we aim to assist individuals to regain their self- respect. Since established in 1989 we have trained over 18 000 unemployed South African in market related skills. Our initiatives include the Ground UP Barista Academy, and nine market related skills development courses.
