About Learn to succeed

Learn to Succeed is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage educational excellence of the socio-economic periphery as a guarantee of economic independence, social advancement and self-fulfillment. This is done by empowering the sense of ability and self-confidence of the youth, by providing mental and practical tools for excellence,by holding lectures throughout the country, distributing initiation books, producing the youtube series on educational excellence and personal guidance of the youth. The project is currently launching a headstart to raise 150,000 NIS for the expansion of its activities. The project is a direct continuation of a wide range of activities spanning more than five years in a variety of cities, including Ness Ziona, Haifa, Be'er Sheva and Dimona, and has had impressive results. https://www.headstart.co.il/project.aspx?id=25885 The tools learned in the project have been developed over the years by its founder, Dr. Maor Fried. https://www.linkedin.com/in/maor-farid-ph-d-b8435863/ Dr. Maor Fried is a research and development engineer in the Ministry of Defense. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion, with honors, as the youngest graduate of 2017. He is a graduate of the IDF's excellence program "Barakim", who has the rank of captain and is recognized as an "outstanding scientist".Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering at Ben-Gurion University in an original course he wrote. Maor grew up in a problematic neighborhood in Ness Ziona as a firstborn son of Maabarot, and became the first in his family to complete high school. He did not receive financial support during his studies and worked for a living. Developed a set of skills for excellence in the absence of knowledge and resources. He served as a mentor and teacher in two schools in Dimona, where he applied his insights successfully, and inspired this experience in his book "Learning to Succeed". 25 years old, married and living in Be'er Sheva.
