About Learning Forward Florida

Learning Forward Florida is an educational nonprofit association of learning educators committed to one vision in K–12 education: Excellent teaching and learning every day. We are the Florida affiliate of Learning Forward, an international organization that shows you how to plan, implement, and measure high-quality professional learning so you and your team can achieve success with your system, your school, and your students. Learning Forward Florida began as the Florida Association for Staff Development (FASD). The organization has its roots in the Florida Teacher Education Center Act of 1973. This forward-looking legislation established funding for a model collaborative relationship among teachers, school districts, universities, and the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).
