About Learning to Work
Learning to Work is a youth development charity that facilitates the link between education and the world of work to prepare young people for the workplace. Our work is all about bringing opportunity to young people and equipping them with the skills they will need to reach their full potential. Business engagement is at the heart of everything we do and is what sets our activities apart when it comes to giving young people an insight into the world of work and what employers will expect of them when they enter the workplace. It is the knowledge, expertise and experience of fantastic business volunteers that bring the world of work to life for young people. We broker a wide range of events and activities, in and out of school, supporting over 25,000 children in the local area each year. We work with whole cohorts, small groups and individuals to offer bespoke programmes and interventions to meet the needs of both young people and schools. Events and activities include Enterprise Days, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) events, Apprenticeship workshops, Mock Interview Days, Financial Awareness, Mentoring, CV workshops, Business Insight Days and Careers Guidance.
