About Leeward Community College
Founded in 1968, Leeward Community College is a public, two-year college serving the island of Oʻahu with locations in Māʻili, Wahiawā, and Puʻuloa. As part of the University of Hawaiʻi’s 10-campus system, Leeward serves approximately 7,400 students each year, providing accessible, high-quality education to meet the needs of Hawaiʻi’s communities. Leeward offers 90+ degree and certificate programs in fields ranging from liberal arts and Hawaiian studies to STEM, culinary arts, and teacher education. Whether preparing for a career, gaining technical skills, or transferring to a four-year university, students benefit from a supportive environment, dedicated faculty, and a robust network of academic and career services. Proudly recognized as the first net-zero energy campus in the UH system, Leeward is committed to sustainability, innovation, and student success. In addition to its main Pu‘uloa campus, Leeward operates the Wai‘anae Moku Education Center and the Wahiawā Value-Added Product Development Center — a 33,000-square-foot food manufacturing and education facility established in 2024 in partnership with the State of Hawaiʻi. Mission: At Leeward Community College, we mālama all students and affirm our special commitment to Native Hawaiians. We transform the lives of our students through high-quality, accessible, and affordable education.
