About Leg Studios

Founded in 2006 by Leon Erasmus – architecturally studied – and Giulia Odendaal – a theatrical and set design specialist. For the past decade, Leg Studios’ core focus has been installation design for various national and international brands. This is a temporary environment created around a brand experience. We would focus on the structural and visual supply of the designed environment. The diversity of the team’s backgrounds combine in a creative and comprehensive response to any client’s brief. Building on contemporary trends, evergreen ideas and sound research, concepts are developed into functional, efficient designs for multi-dimensional, brand orientated environments. In-house remote and on-site project management ensure installations run smoothly with every angle cover covered and no detail overlooked. The division to Leg Studios; LSD was created in 2014. LSD; a collection of quirky, contemporary, on-trend furniture smalls and lifestyle accents. All of our products are designed in-house, manufactured locally and finished off by hand. We love experimenting with different substrates and textures. Our current range includes, amongst other, laser cut steel finished with either electroplating or epoxy coating, which is then layered over honest raw materials like concrete, sustainable materials like Birch ply or cork and exotic woods; including solid spruce. We are naturally influenced by the riches of unique African texture and pattern whilst we draw inspiration from the bold simplicity of Scandinavian design.
