About Legacy Link
Legacy Link is designated by the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the 13-county region including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White Counties. The AAA is responsible for advocacy for older adults, planning and administration of programs, and coordination and monitoring of services in the area. Federal, state, and local funds authorized by a wide variety of federal and state laws and programs are utilized by this non-profit agency. Programs are provided either through sub-contracts with local governments and agencies or offered directly by Legacy Link. Legacy Link offers expanded services outside our traditional 13-county Georgia Mountain area for the Senior Community Service Employment (SCSEP) Program (110 counties) as well as the SOURCE and Community Care Services Programs (22 counties).
