About Legacy School

Legacy School is a premier private, nonsectarian school in Omaha, Nebraska, serving students from preschool through 5th grade. Founded by educators who believe in the power of personalized learning, Legacy School is committed to academic excellence, small class sizes, and a whole-child approach that nurtures each student’s intellectual, emotional, and social development. At Legacy, learning is highly individualized. With a low 9:1 student-to-teacher ratio and full-time teaching assistants in every classroom, educators have the flexibility to adapt instruction to each child’s needs, strengths, and pace. Students benefit from an environment where they are known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. Legacy School’s expansive 11-acre campus provides countless opportunities for hands-on, outdoor learning. Students explore science and nature in a dedicated outdoor classroom, tend to a farm-to-table garden, and engage with animals at the school’s barnyard. Recess takes place on real grass, with access to soccer and baseball fields, a pickleball court, and nature trails encouraging active play and meaningful discovery beyond the traditional classroom. The school’s faculty is made up of highly qualified teachers, the majority holding advanced degrees, who are passionate about early education and committed to fostering a love of learning. Their experience and dedication help cultivate a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. Legacy School also offers year-round enrichment through Camp Legacy, providing fun, themed experiences in the summer and winter that extend learning beyond the school year. In addition, students who attend Legacy from 1st through 5th grade receive a $500 scholarship toward college or trade school, reflecting the school’s long-term investment in every child’s future.
